Security

As all delegates, I ensure the Solar network is safe, secure and stable. I run mainnet and testnet nodes and backup relays using enterprise-grade cloud servers. I have a background as a developer, systems engineer, technical consultant and cloud architect. I have been securing Delegated Proof of Stake (DPOS) networks, like Solar, since 2017.

I am an active community member. You can find me on the Solar communities on Telegram and Discord every day, helping out where I can with guidance, tools and promotions. I am one of the moderators for the Dutch Solar Telegram group. I actively onboard new community members and aspiring delegates to increase the strength of Solar and its community..

Promotional work

Besides community work, I help out the Solar Core team with a variety of tasks. These include writing scripts and doing voice over for promotional Solar videos and writing and reviewing articles and blog posts. One of the most successful contributions was the collaboration with delegate Kimchi in creating the Learn and Earn video and blog hosted on CoinMarketCap: https://coinmarketcap.com/earn/project/solar.

I also team up with three other delegates (kippers, thamar and st3v3n) in building and hosting various tools for the Solar community. Tools like our Dutchpool Delegate Verifier. Our work has been highly valued in other DPOS communities in providing an honest view of Delegates’ actual shared percentage and calculated rewards per vote weight, keeping in mind things like vote dilution.

Long-term goal

My long-term goal is the ideation, promotion and development of new blockchain innovations. Innovations that will not only compete with platforms like EOS, Solana and Ethereum, but actually eclipse them. Improvements on the current standards in NFTs and interactions with the Metaverse, in digital ownership and the connection to the real world.

I propose to share 80% of forging rewards with my voters. Each voter is entitled to a part of each block forged, proportionate to the size of your voting wallet compared to the total votes. Payout is roughly once a day: every 204 blocks forged.

Respecting smaller wallets as much as larger ones, my proposal includes a vote weight cap per wallet of 35.000 SXP. This means that any voting wallet is entitled to a proportional part of the daily payout, up to the first 35.000 SXP the wallet holds. You are welcome to vote with larger wallets of course, but it might be more beneficial to you and to the stability of the ecosystem to spread your SXP across multiple wallets and vote for multiple delegates. As more and more wallets vote, this cap will increase upward in accordance with market trends. Changes to this cap will be published here first.
